Feeling possessed by a demon is a «delusion» and is related to various mental disorders, though it is not specific to any single one. This type of delusion can be found in:
1. Schizophrenia: People with schizophrenia may experience delusions and hallucinations, including beliefs of being possessed or controlled by external forces.
2. Psychotic Disorders: Psychotic disorders, such as «delusional disorder,» can also include beliefs of demonic possession.
3. Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD): In some cases, people with OCD may have «obsessions with religious or demonic content,» though these generally do not present as delusions of possession.

4. Dissociative Identity Disorder: Previously known as multiple personality disorder, it can include symptoms where the individual feels their behavior is controlled by other entities, which in some cultures may be interpreted as possession.
5. Dissociative Disorders: Besides dissociative identity disorder, other dissociative disorders can involve experiences of depersonalization or derealization that might be interpreted as possession in certain cultural contexts.
It is important to note that cultural context and personal beliefs can influence how these symptoms present and are interpreted. Therefore, an appropriate diagnosis should be made by a mental health professional through a comprehensive evaluation.
